Sirenade is an enthralling musical street theater performance where two mermaids are entangled in a soprano duel, balancing between reality and fantasy.
The mythical siren rising from the waves like a beckoning tower full of seaweed and nets, or the fairytale mermaid surrounded by glitter and glamour. They sing. They seduce. They battle.
Two men are caught in between. Who knows what will happen to the audience.
Those who watch are not just spectators but pawns in a scène that becomes increasingly absurd. Classical/operatic musical theater, unexpected musical twists, and a visual world that enchants and disrupts.
Guided by Poulenc, Mozart, Purcell, Gilbert&Sullivan, Satie, Weill and more Sirenade pulls you into a climax that no one could have foreseen. A magical, comical, and captivating performance by OPERAWERF, Fairy In Boots, Productions en Zonen, LindeLand and Astonishman, with musical arrangements by Wido Uvin.

WEATHER RESISTANCE
The performance can proceed in moderate wind and light rain. In case of poor weather conditions, the organizer provides an alternative (indoor) location. A performance canceled due to weather conditions on-site is considered as having taken place.
If the performance is canceled within 48 hours before the performance and the artists do not travel to the location, 50% of the fee will be charged unless otherwise agreed.
TECHNICAL RIDER
- Duration: approximately 30 minutes
- Minimum ceiling height (for indoor performances): 4 meters
- Required space: 18 meters diameter (play area) + at least 3 meters around (buffer space)
- Surface: flat and stable (grass is certainly possible as long as it is not swampy or very uneven)
- Playing area: 360°
- Capacity: 100-180 seats
- Power supply: at least 1 outlet near the playing area
- Audio: self-sufficient. Plugging into an existing system is not possible.
- Setup time: 3 hours
- Breakdown time: 2 hours
- Break between two performances: at least 30 minutes, maximum 90 minutes

If the organizer cannot provide a meal for the artists, €15 per artist will be charged (4 people)
Lodging nearby required when performing outside of Belgium, cover multiple days and when the first performance has an early start. (4 people)
€200 foreign play surcharge when performing outside of Belgium.
